Too Good To Go is a social impact company and a mobile app which reduces food waste by making surplus food from cafes, restaurants and supermarkets available to users. Our users purchase food through the app, collect locally and enjoy knowing they are saving food, money - and the planet!


Too Good To Go is scaling fast across Europe (we are in 13 countries already) with 26M meals saved to date (that is over 65’000 tonnes of CO2 emissions saved!). We have big, big plans and we are looking for a hardworking, hungry PR & Event Specialist to join our Waste Warrior tribe of 470+ employees around Europe. You will be working from our central office in Oslo and closely with the Global Marketing Team in Copenhagen, the Norwegian Team (20 Waste Warriors so far) and report to the Head of Marketing in Norway. You will focus on increasing awareness about food waste and spreading the work and messaging of Too Good To Go by developing and executing effective communication & media relations in Norway.


Your responsibilities:

PR

  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
  • Plan & exchange strategies and ideas with global PR team of 13 countries
  • Help and assist the Head of Marketing Norway to develop the marketing plan
  • Coordinate all public relations activities
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Create press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a daily, weekly & quarterly basis
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships and sponsorships on an ongoing basis
  • Develop a content strategy for our blog and digital communication
  • Build relationships with key players within food waste to grow brand awareness
  • Help create quality content for our blog
  • Ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • 100% target oriented and resourceful, with a positive, flexible mindset

Events

  • Plan & coordinate B2C and B2B events
  • Provide marketing material for events
  • Seek out networking opportunities at all levels
  • Research and evaluate opportunities for Too Good To Go to be present and participate in relevant events in Norway

Your skills should include:

  • Full professional proficiency in Norwegian
  • Top of the class English Speaker – all the communication in the global team will be in English
  • Being truly passionate about food waste and sustainability is a must
  • Super strong drive. We repeat: super strong drive
  • 3+ years of experience in a PR role
  • Highly valued: a network of contacts in the media and press environment (especially food, lifestyle, business), as well as previous experience in event management
  • Strong digital background, with a proven record of creating and executing successful PR campaigns
  • Fantastic content writing skills
  • Brilliant communication skills and the ability to translate ideas into PR activities
  • Exceptional organizing skills and the capability to play multitask comfortably
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in an ever-changing fast-growing environment
