A blog post about Too Good To Go speaking on the panel at the restaurant and takeaway expo in October.FOOD WASTE: THE SOLUTION IS TECH
We’re attending this year's Restaurant and Takeaway Innovation Expo to discuss ways in which businesses can become more sustainable. According to WRAP, 1.3 billion meals are wasted annually in the industry, costing the HaFS sector around £3 billion per year. Why so much? From difficulty in predicting footfall to increased customer demand, food waste has always been tough to tackle.
So what can we do to change this? Our Co-Founder Jamie Crummie and the Head of Key Accounts UK & IE Alex Mason will be at the expo speaking on the main panel and hosting key note sessions. Whether it’s switching to eco-packaging or taking advantage of technology, we’ll be offering possible solutions to all of your food waste questions.
Jamie Crummie founded Too Good To Go in 2016 and has since helped it grow to save millions of meals from going to waste with more than 60,000+ supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, hotels and more fighting food waste across 15 countries. At the expo, he’ll explore why food waste is such an issue and the importance of tackling it as a business, before looking at how technology can provide the tools to make building and operating a sustainable business simple and scalable.
