5 Ways to Use Up Halloween Candy

Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party this year or preparing for trick-or-treaters, chances are you’ll end up with more candy than you know what to do with. Read on to find out creative ways to use the leftovers and prevent any sweet treats from going to waste!

1. Freeze It

Unwrap candy and place in an airtight container. Throughout the year, you can toss frozen candy into milkshakes, on top of ice cream, or mix it into cookie dough. Your freezer will now be stocked and ready the next time you feel a chocolate craving coming on.

2. DIY Trail Mix

Make your own trail mix by tossing small candies like M&Ms or Reese's Pieces with your favorite nuts and dried fruits. This makes the perfect on-the-go afternoon snack for sweet and salty fans alike.

3. Sweeten Your Coffee

Melt leftover chocolate into your morning coffee and add your milk of choice to enjoy a delicious at-home mocha. Add a caramel-filled chocolate for an even more decadent beverage.

4. Festive Cocktail Stirrers

Put leftover gummy candy on small wooden skewers and pop these fun cocktail stirrers into your favorite drink for your next cocktail night. They’ll also spice up a simple glass of seltzer!
